Frequently Asked Questions

We've helped thousands of people plan their vacations to our slice of paradise. Along the way, we've answered a LOT of questions. So here is a summary of Frequently Asked Questions, and their answers. And of course, after you book, we'll share much more detailed INFO through our Planning Guide.

Simply select the desired property, dates, number of guests, and if you are a returning or new customer. The calendar is always up-to-date, You will be able to pay and sign the rental agreement on-line. I will send you a confirmation email. New customers will submit a request to rent and we will contact you within 24hours if not immediately.

To confirm a booking, you will need to pay a 25% deposit at the time of the booking via credit card, and then the balance 30 days before your arrival date. A security deposit up to $300 (depending on the property) will be required for all new customers. A full refund will be provided minus any credit card fees if cancelled via email at least 30 days before the arrival date.

All of our properties are stocked with linens, towels, dishes, pots and pans, and a basic supply of complimentary amenities such as:

Guests will need to bring personal items such as clothing, toiletries, and need to provide all groceries.

All properties have electronic locks and the exact check-in instructions with codes will be emailed a week or two before your arrival. Check-in is at 4 pm; check-out at 11:00am. An early arrival or a late check-out may be possible but cannot be confirmed until the day before.

Full check-out instructions are provided in the "Welcome BooK" which you will find in your rental. Guests will be expected to clean all dishes, turn off the AC/heat, and throw out all garbage.

One friendly dog is allowed. Additional dogs need to be approved in writing at the time of the reservation. Guests will be expected to cover the couch with a sheet (provided) and not allow the dogs on any bed. Cats and other pets are not allowed.

The exact address will be provided in the checkin instructions for security reasons. All properties are within a few blocks from the beach and restaurants. The Oceanside rentals are in a quiet neighborhood called South Oceanside, and is located just over a mile between the Oceanside pier, and the Village of Carlsbad. The Encinitas rental is just 2 blocks north of Moonlight beach.

If you are flying into the San Diego Airport, just go onto Hwy 5 and go north. The Oceanside rentals are 35 miles north, while the Encinitas rental is just 25 miles. All units are located under 1/2 mile from Hwy 5, so you will have a great spot for sightseeing.

Most guests do have cars, but they are not required if you just want to relax. Ubers are always available, and there is a rail system called the coaster that goes up and down the coast (check schedule).

All units have good wifi bandwidth and all the standard cable and local TV channels.

All units in Oceanside have packnplay and booster seat available upon request at no charge. The Encinitas rental does not provide these items.
